Veeam B&R 9.5 upgrade “All Active Full Schedules Reset”
I just saw this i the Veeam forum. After upgrading to version 9.5 of Veeam Backup & Replication, all jobs that has configured "active full" wil have the schedule reset to default (first Monday) for the "active full".
Veeam has reported this as a bug, and are working on a fix.
See the forum thread here: https://forums.veeam.com/veeam-backup-replication-f2/all-active-full-schedules-reset-with-9-5-t39349.html
Temporary fix: Document the settings for all jobs before upgrading and manual edit the jobs after upgrading.
This also occurred to my infrastructure under ver 10 upgrade, but not the job backup type (full/incremental) but the proxies used during the backups. This only came to light when all of a sudden, backup jobs that have worked for years, began showing signs of DNS resolution failures and unknown host issues. Turns out, the veeam version 10 upgrade, reset the job proxies to default (but changed nothing else), this left all of my client-specific (on-prem) jobs to fail with unable to locate the ESXi hosts. This is because the proxies used have to be on-prem for the client’s replication, so it made sense it couldnt find the hosts, but was not DNS or infrastructure related. The only issue was with the wrong proxies used when an on-premise proxy was required.
