VMware Aria Suite 8.12 Released (Former vRealize Suite)
VMware has released Aria Suite 8.12, this is the former vRealize Suite, Aria Automation 8.12, Aria Automation Config 8.12, Aria Orchestrator 8.12, Aria Operations 8.12, Aria Operations for Logs 8.12 and Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.12.
With this release VMware rename the vRealize to Aria, and also changed some of the product names.
NOTE: it’s important to update the vRealize Log Insight (Aria Operations for Logs) before April 30th, there is an internal certificate that expires, and there are also a high rated security problem.

- Users may have to delete cookies/ refresh cache for rebranding changes to get reflected on some pages.
- Older events generated by the system (e:g in Audit logs) will not contain rebranded names.
Aria Automation 8.12
What’s new:
- New timeout options for extensibility action flows
- Ability to use Aria Automation to provision storage disk with thin provisioning type
- Introducing a new plug-in architecture for faster access to updated Native Public Cloud provider settings and a more agile Automation Assembler user experience
- 8.12 on-prem Aria Automation requires 48GB of memory. Before upgrading make sure you have secured the required memory.
- Some components are beta
- Ability to filter Audit Log from Aria Automation
- Ability to display version history for content sources in Custom forms
- he custom forms author can now:
- Create multiple versions of a custom form
- Review a list for all versions of a custom form
- Restore to a previous version of the custom form
- Create a new version of custom form based off the latest custom form version
- Attach a custom form to a specific version of the content source item (only for Cloud Templates)
- Upcoming deprecation of the Virtual Private Zones functionality
- IaaS API – Support for creating IPAM integration endpoint
- Ability to run Custom Actions and Out Of Box Day2 Actions in parallel
- Ansible Automation Controller (previously Ansible Automation Tower) Support
- Ability to change project on a deployment that contains migrated, provisioned, and onboarded resources

Aria Operations 8.12
Logs Integration Experience Change
After upgrading to VMware Aria Operations 8.12 and above, the existing Logs Integrations will stop working. For more information see the Notes in the Enhanced Logs Experience section.

Aria Suite Lifecycle 8.12.
What’s new:
- vRealize Suite products have been renamed with the VMware Aria family of products.
- vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager is now named VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle. Earlier product releases continue to use the vRealize Suite Lifecycle Manager name.
- Power Off / On Day-2 actions for VMware Aria Operations for Networks (previously vRealize Network Insight) are now supported.
- Installing and importing VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator (previously vRealize Orchestrator) with vSphere authentication is now supported.
- Instances of offensive terminology have been removed from the VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle product and its documentation.
- VMware Aria Suite Lifecycle is now empowered with Common Appliance Platform (CAP), which replaces the VMware Appliance Management Interface (VAMI) for product installations and upgrades.
- VCF-awareness now provides the option to choose between an NSX Advanced Load Balancer and an NSX-T Load Balancer during product deployments.
- The vRealize Suite license now supports VMware Aria Automation Config (previously vRealize SaltStack Config).
- Significant reduction in time taken for VMware Aria Operations upgrade. Starting with version 8.12, the improve process includes the following steps: take the VMware Aria Operations cluster offline, take a snapshot , perform an upgrade then bring the cluster online as opposed to bringing the cluster online after snapshot and then shutting it down again to perform an upgrade.
- vCenter inventory synchronization enhancements have been incorporated.

- Support for vRealize Business has been discontinued.
